Tri-Town Teachers FCU is Strong, Safe and Secure
We all have been watching with trepidation, the news of recent days with failures of large, well know investment institutions and banks. We want to reassure our members that your credit union is very secure and extremely safe for your accounts. Your deposits are now insured by the National Credit Union Association up to at least $250,000. Credit Unions (particularly us) have steered clear of sub-prime mortgages and we do not force loans on members just to make a quick buck. Credit Unions are generally a safe harbor for consumer savings because they are more conservative in their approach to lending. They hold their loans, don't sell them and since they are member owned, they don't take gambles with their members' money. This conservative approach provides for less risk and fewer losses in tough times. All family members of our members are welcome!
